I really liked the audio program “Involve Your Kids in eBay and Watch Them Become Young Entrepreneurs” – it is easy to listen to and very informative, full of great tips and info. This is a great motivator for teens, and people like me who absolutely have no idea how to do anything on Ebay. Mrs. Beck explains how you can turn eBay into school work that is productive, fun, and gives your kids a way to earn money. Ebay even gives your kids a reason to learn to write better! She tells how her youngest son (13) started selling toys, marshmallow guns, and things that he made on ebay, and also how her daughter (18) needed some extra spending money, so she also decided to get started on ebay.

At first when they started selling things, their stuff didn’t sell. But as they gained experience selling items, making good photos and writing better descriptions, their items sold at much higher prices. A great learning experience! I have worked at the same company in the transportation industry for over 33 years. While it has been good, it is a 24/7 business so you are never free from it. I have been looking for an Internet based business for the past 5-7 years.

Over $3000 in 10 Days

The booksale:  In the end, we made just over $3000 in 10 days.  People object that only selling internet info products makes money online but we applied the online business principles Steve taught us to our used book business and were astonished at the improvement.In November 07 we released our first two ebooks.

I wanted to start small with something definite and doable. The book sold about $2000 in one month but I am more excited that I really saw a project through to completion.  It’s given me confidence to put our cherished *big* idea into action this year.

Also, because of the book I was interviewed by Cindy Rushton who then invited me to speak at her upcoming online homeschool convention. Our *big* idea is now taking on a life of its own as I get ready to talk and pull my new product together.

8 Weeks to Profit is great course, especially for the “newbie” or the technologically challenged. I learned so much from the step-by-step, easy to follow assignments. The videos are the best part of the course. Visuals enhance learning by actually showing you the “how to’s” of each step of the ebook creation process in order.

There is no way I could have followed all of the steps by just reading an instruction manual. From the very beginning of brainstorming for ideas, through the steps of choosing a domain name, learning to automate your system, setting up web pages, and actually putting an ebook together–it’s all there in an organized, easy to follow plan.

I highly recommend this course for a family learning experience. All can learn by doing, and children learn to take responsibility for a real business venture. I consider this course a wise educational investment. The process can be duplicated again and again.

Without the course, I number one would not know what to look for, two I would not know where to look, number three nor would I have the time to look. If a person wants to have/create a product to sell on-line, I honestly do not feel they could get better equipment, coaching or encouragement than with you.
